About Us

We decided to open our practice after recognizing a need in our community. Patients often wait months while needlessly suffering from incontinence, pain with intercourse, bowel dysfunction, and other intimate issues. Given how limited the resources are for men and women dealing with pelvic health conditions, we saw an opportunity to help people heal and return quickly and confidently to their lives.

Undergraduate: Oklahoma State University, B.S. in Athletic Training

Graduate: Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Masters of Physical Therapy

Post Graduate Pelvic Health Training: APTA Academy of Pelvic Health, Level III certified

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. After working a few years, I went back to school and earned a Masters of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University in 2007. My first 14 years of physical therapy work focused on orthopedics, pediatrics, and sports rehabilitation.

After moving from Texas to the High Country, I developed a strong interest in pelvic health for women and men and was fortunate enough to have a mentor of 23 years in pelvic health. I am continuing my education to become CAPP certified through The APTA Academy of Pelvic Health and am currently Pelvic III certified. Through this training, I have developed experience in treating a vast array of pelvic health conditions, pre-natal and post-natal care, and orthopedic pathologies related to the pelvis. My passion is working with patients to assess their needs and symptoms and help them understand their body and help them heal through a combination of education, manual therapy, and exercise. I pride myself on respecting the patient, being their team member to find the root cause of the problem, and treat them as a whole.

My team member Tiffany and I founded this company to provide high quality care to the High Country, bringing awareness to the community related to pelvic health.

I love being a mom to my two children, Charlie and Stella, and our dog, Frankie. I enjoy sunshine, running with friends, lifting weights, and spending time outside hiking or paddle boarding on the river.

Associates: Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute, Physical Therapist Assistant

Pelvic Health Training: Herman and Wallace Institute, Level III certified

After graduating from Appalachian State with a degree in education, I quickly realized that I was destined for a lifetime of teaching and learning—both inside and out of the classroom. Physical therapy allows me the opportunity to continue to learn, grow, and share in rewarding ways. My first exposure to the field was working as a technician in a physical therapy office in Boone, where I decided to return to school to earn my PTA degree. Upon becoming a PTA, I found work at a skilled nursing facility in Greensboro, NC where I spent five years helping patients recover from a variety of diagnoses; proudly sending 75% of patients back home. Learning that one of the leading reasons that people were unable to return home was incontinence, my interest was piqued.

My husband and I returned to our home in the mountains in 2018 where I had the pleasure of working for a hospital based outpatient facility. I was fortunate enough to receive training in the pelvic floor specialty, and have never looked back! The more I learn, the more I love working with this population. I am passionate about educating the community about all the benefits to pelvic floor physical therapy and want everyone to know that there is no need to suffer in silence.

In my free time I love spending time with my wonderful husband, working in my vegetable garden, and hanging out with my chickens and cats. I also enjoy staying active with hiking and yoga and love to get caught up in a good book.

Undergraduate: East Carolina University, B.S. in Physical Therapy

Post Graduate Pelvic Health Training: APTA Academy of Pelvic Health, Level II Certified

I decided at my high school career day that physical therapy was the profession for me. The PT who spoke that day talked about working one-on-one with patients to improve their physical abilities and quality of life. I was hooked. I have been a PT for 27 years, 20 of which have been in the field of pediatrics. I have worked in 3 different school systems and with kids ages 3 and up. My passion with pediatrics is helping children and caregivers learn simple and easily implemented ways for the child to become more independent and participate successfully with their peers.

After the birth of my son, I was fortunate to receive post-partum pelvic physical therapy which sparked my interest in learning more about this specialty. It changed my life. I was thrilled when the opportunity came to join the team at Wonder and train in pelvic health for pediatric patients. I am excited to help children and their families learn more about their bowel and bladder issues and help improve their quality of life.

I am so lucky to be Mom to my son, Levi. We love to work out at the gym and play with our dog, Blue and our lizards, Beardie and Mango. In my free time you can find me practicing yoga, dancing with Latin Dance Boone, or cooking for my natural chef class.

Graduate: University of St. Augustine, Masters and Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Postgraduate: Columbus University, PHD in Research and Education

Post Graduate Pelvic Health Training: APTA Academy of Pelvic Health, CAPP level certified

I started my career working at Shriners Children’s Hospital in the 3-D Gait Analysis Laboratory as a BioMechanical Engineer and Physical Therapist. During my postgraduate education, I became interested in women’s health and completed specialized training with courses through the APTA in Obstetrics, as well as Prenatal and Postpartum Care. With my unique background and education, I knew my skills could help more patients at a specialty clinic.

I opened multiple outpatient pelvic clinics in Florida, one of which I owned and operated for 14 years. During this time, I also received a Breast Cancer Care Certificate through the KLOSE Institute. With over 23 years of experience I am able to incorporate all of this training to get to the root of the problem and help my patients reach their healthiest potential!

I have a great passion to help others; this was my motivation behind becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2018. For the last 4 years, I have worked exclusively in medical settings which has helped me focus on a therapeutic approach to help improve the wellness of each individual client.

My modalities include: Therapeutic Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Prenatal, and Cupping.

As a wife and mother of two, I know the importance of maintaining a balanced life. By addressing the mind-body connection, massage helps reduce stress, release physical tension, promote relaxation, and enhance emotional well-being. I would love to help start your journey to a balanced and stress free body and life!

Cami Willson

Undergraduate: Appalachian State University, B.S. in Public Health

I first became interested in public health in 2019 when I was applying to Appalachian State. I have always been interested in all things health but was having trouble picking just one health-related major. That’s when I found out about the public health program, which fit all my interests into one!

After graduating from ASU, I decided to stay in Boone because I love the mountains and the friends I’ve made here. I had the opportunity to intern at Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture where I aided in the Double Up Food Bucks Program and the King Street Farmers Market. There, I got first hand experience in combatting food insecurity and meeting community needs. After my internship I set out to find other areas that needed more attention. During this time, Wonder Pelvic Therapy was just forming! I love being able to help all people get the treatment they need. Being involved in pelvic floor therapy has been a tremendous learning experience.

In my free time I enjoy being outside, listening to music, going on hikes, collaging, and spending time with loved ones.
